Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) Construction

A Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) is an optimized structural steel framework engineered off-site using custom built-up plate girders, cold-formed Z/C purlins, and high-tensile bolted connections for rapid on-site erection. Fusion Developers delivers turnkey industrial warehouses, commercial factories, logistics hubs, and column-free event marquees across Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the Gulf with clear spans reaching up to 60 meters (200 feet).

Why Pre-Engineered Buildings Outperform Conventional Construction

In Pakistan's commercial and industrial sectors, traditional cast-in-place concrete or site-welded truss systems suffer from excessive dead weight, poor seismic ductility, and unpredictable delivery timelines. PEB systems solve these engineering challenges through computer-aided tapered section optimization, concentrating steel mass only where stress demand requires it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum clear span achievable without center columns?
Fusion Developers engineers rigid portal frames up to 60 meters (approximately 200 feet) clear span without any intermediate columns. For spans exceeding 60m, we utilize modular multi-span or hybrid lattice truss framing to optimize steel tonnage.
How long does it take to fabricate and erect a 20,000 sq ft PEB warehouse?
Typically, structural design and drawing set approval require 2 weeks, shop fabrication takes 4 to 6 weeks, and on-site crane erection requires 3 to 4 weeks. A 20,000 sq ft facility can be fully erected and sheeted in 10 to 12 weeks.
Can overhead bridge cranes be integrated into a Fusion Developers PEB shed?
Yes. We design built-up crane runway beams and stepped crane columns accommodating overhead bridge cranes ranging from 5-ton to 25-ton lifting capacities, designed in full compliance with AISE Technical Report No. 13 and AISC standards.
How does Fusion Developers protect structural steel against corrosion in Pakistan?
All fabricated steel components undergo high-pressure shot-blasting to SA 2.5 standard followed by two coats of red oxide zinc-chromate primer (minimum 75 microns DFT) and two coats of polyurethane or epoxy enamel. For highly corrosive environments, hot-dip galvanizing is applied.
Can PEB steel buildings be relocated or expanded in the future?
Yes. Because PEB structures utilize bolted moment connections rather than field welds, frame bays can be unbolted and extended along the longitudinal axis, or entirely dismantled, relocated, and re-erected with virtually 100% material recovery.
