Fast-Track Turnkey Erection Schedule

Commissioned as an official public sector strategic grain reserve facility for the Food Department, Government of Gilgit-Baltistan, this 43,350 sq ft heavy-duty pre-engineered building (PEB) terminal serves as the vital emergency food security lifeline buffering 150,000+ metric tons of subsidized northern grain shipments through the Islamabad/Rawalpindi transit corridor.

Single-Span 102' PEB Engineering & AISC 360 Compliance

Engineered with an unobstructed 102-foot clear span and 35-foot eaves height without internal columns, allowing 40-foot articulated flatbed trailers to drive through, load, and turn without obstacle. Built from ASTM A572 Grade 50 high-tensile steel plate girders, designed to withstand Potohar seismic loads (Zone 2B) and ASCE 7-22 wind gusts up to 140 km/h.

Food-Grade Climate Enclosure & Agronomy Preservation

To prevent grain spoiling from dew-point condensation and moisture during monsoon, the envelope is engineered with 50mm double-foil glasswool insulation, continuous gravity ridge ventilators, airtight fumigation-seal gaskets, and micro-mesh bird/rodent barriers preserving bulk and bagged wheat for up to 90 days.

Heavy-Capacity Foundation & Laser-Screeded Slab

Heavy grain storage requires exceptional geotechnical consideration. The 200–250mm laser-screeded M25/M30 slab on grade is reinforced and engineered for intense 50–60 kN/m² stacking loads, preventing settlement cracks under 35,000 MT dead weight.
