By utilizing optimized portal-frame geometries and standardized structural sections, the facility provides an unobstructed clear-span floor with integrated acoustic and climate-control provisions.
Cost-Optimized Frame Geometry
Rather than using off-the-shelf heavy rolled sections, our structural engineers designed tapered plate girders using STAAD.Pro. By reducing flange thicknesses at points of low bending moment, structural steel tonnage was reduced by 18% without sacrificing structural safety factor or deflection limits.
Acoustic Strategy & Ceiling Design
To avoid sound reverberation in a metal building, the roof was specified with double-layer rockwool insulation and perforated liner panels. This economical acoustic treatment keeps internal speech intelligibility crisp while shielding event guests from heavy rain impact noise.
